Momental Designs is the artist studio of Kristy Rice where every invitation begins with original artwork or antique carved stamping. The invitations are then embellished to include hand-painted details, custom cut sizes, luxurious ribbons, hand-torn edges and personalized presentations.

Vintage stamping and original artwork are the two approaches Kristy uses for these beautiful custom invitations.

Kristy considers vintage stamping her signature method. Over the years, Kristy has collected antique carved stamps that were used to create designs on fabrics. Kristy fell in love with them and envisioned their potential as a unique invitation application.

The idea of these vintage stamps were so intriguing that she often hand carves her own stamp designs to fulfill the vision of her brides. Her favorite technique is to press these very special stamps into the paper and personally embellish each invitation with shimmery ink. The permanent inks come in an array of 50 colors which Kristy artfully mixes so brides will have their wedding colors incorporated into their invitations.

To Kristy, her custom artwork is a passion and adds a personal and beautiful component to an invitation. She works with each brides to come up with a unique design. After her original artwork is added to the invitation, she hand-paints accents and hightlights as illustrated in her newest collection of Hydrangea, Calla and Fuchsia designs which were inspired on location at Longwood Gardens in Philadelphia.
