Chateau de Challain is owned by an American, Cynthia Nicholson, who offers a luxury castle wedding experience only one hour from the Charles de Gaulle airport. The Castle has easy access from England and Ireland via the Nantes airport.

Chateau de Challain is situated on the river at the edge of a charming Loire village in France and is an easy walk to the village. It is in close proximity to incredible restaurants in the towns and cities along the river, tours of the Loire's fine vineyards and the history of royal France. It is a 4 Star luxurious fairy tale château that combines the elegance and enchantment of France in the 1800's with modern and luxurious amenities.

Known as the Petit Chambord, Chateau de Challain was built as a private residence in 1854. Each room is exquisitely decorated and furnished with antiques opening onto views of the lush green park surrounding the château. Each evening meal at Chateau de Challain is memorable with fine cuisine prepared by the château's on-site chef, trained at the Culinary Institute of America. There are 365 windows in the Castle, 1 for each day of the year. 52 fireplaces , 1 for each week of the year and 12 Turrets, 1 for each month. Chateau de Challain is also a Historic Monument known as the Chambord of Anjou.
